Guild Mission

Synthesis is a mature guild filled with a range of fun loving, focused, and happy people. There are some in the guild that are content chatting while they kill mobs all day, others that start to shake if they can't PvP, others that just run five person instances and others that are interested in seeing the end game content. For those interested in the end game content understand that Synthesis is not a Hard Core raiding guild. We are a Focused Casual Raiding guild. Most of the raiders here have a real life but we do want to see end game content and we strive to do so. All type of play styles are welcomed with open arms as long as they're mature and friendly.

Guild Structure

The Guild is governed by the guild officer and guild master. They make decisions with the best interest of the guild in mind. They discusses most everything in detail before any decisions are made. Any member can bring an issue to an officer at any time.

Veterans are people who have been recognized for long commitment and dedication to the guild.  These people generally know what's what and can help you if no officers are on.

Members are people who make Synthesis. Without them the raids cannot happen, the guild channel is dead and the evil agents gain power because Synthesis is not out there beating them back into submission. These members have shown themselves to be a good fit within the guild and are committed to it's continued success. They are the best.

Initiates are the people that think they want to be a part of our family. Some will make it, some won't. Good Luck.

Respect for others

Verbal abuse of other players, most especially other guild mates, shall not be tolerated. The Guild expects members to adhere to a higher level of standards not embraced by a vast majority of other players. Abuse consists of, but is not limited to, racism, derogatory sexual preference remarks,  and/or unwarranted degrading talk towards other guild members. Violations shall be noted by the guild officers and are subject to demotion or removal from the ranks of the Guild.  ***Understand this.  Swearing is allowed, we're all adults.  Use of racist comments and sexual orientation remarks will not be tolerated.***

Respect in Groups

Treat everyone the way you want to be treated. Need Before Greed is the rule of thumb so don't go needing everything that drops because you want to DE it or sell it for (insert random addictive pixel you just have to have). We're adults and we act like it (mostly) especially in this regard. If you roll need on something and a second item drops that you would like please think about the other people in the group. Give someone else a chance to get an item before you select need then if no one wants ask the group for it and offer a shard or payment etc.

Guild and Officer Channel

Members are expected to display common decency and intelligence on the chat channels. "1337 talk", shouting in all caps, and other forms of irritable communication are extremely frowned upon and may be subject to review by the guild leaders if it isn't in a joking manner. While we are an adult guild on the whole there are some underage members in the ranks, be aware of your audience and scale the conversations accordingly. Excessive off color talk may offend some so if someone asks you to chill out on a certain subject please respect their wishes.

Spam

Members caught spamming the chat channels with an intent to cause irritation or general uproar shall be under immediate ground for demotion and/or banishment from the Guild. Synthesis shall under no circumstances allow such childish behavior from its members.

Begging

There will be no begging whether its in the guild chat or among other people, begging is for dogs. You will be warned one time and then treated like one.

If you need something, ask once. If no one is able to give it to you then, there is no point in asking multiple times.

Guild Theft

Cheating fellow guild members, stealing from them outright, or making them pay for your assistance is prohibited. Punishment is removal from the guild.

Promotions

When first becoming a member of the guild your rank is Initiate until you register on the page, and pass your probation period, after that you are considered a full member. You'll be treated as such (not that we spit on recruits by any means).  Probationary periods are not any set length; if you honestly feel you've put in your time and still have not been promoted, feel free to bring it up (respectfully) to an officer.

Forum Use

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Synthesis has a ton of great members and among those members are several that have a flare for knowing anything and everything about their class. If you aren't checking the forums you might be missing out on some really juicy information. Raid strategies, future content and updates from members are all discussed here. Please Please Please use them if you can, they're a great tool.

Speaking Out

Any member can submit an announcement, suiting any purpose, to be posted on the Guild forum. Freedom of speech will not be at another person's expense though. If you have an issue with someone you need to take it up with them privately. If the issue doesn't get resolved then bring it to an officer and we will handle it one way or another. Direct personal attacks will not be tolerated.
